East Forest
Park offers a wide variety of pre and post WW2 homes on the hillside of Watershops Pond, Springfield's largest body of water (other than the Connecticut River) and
custom-built colonials and tudors as well as capes and ranches.
Bordering East Longmeadow, Forest Park, and the Sixteen Acres neighborhood, the East Forest Park neighborhood is a quick drive to Western New England and Springfield, and American International Colleges, and to the MassMutual head office, as well as to East Longmeadow and Northerm Connecticut.
Several small commercial areas are located on Island Pond Road and Sumner Avenue, including Gus & Paul's Bakery & Deli, a decades-old landmark. A wonderful Farmer's Market is held May through October in the near-by "X" neighborhood. The neighborhood is home to Cathedral High School, the city's only Catholic secondary school.
