Michelle moved to Springfield in 1999, and has lived in her 1924 Colonial home in East Forest Park since 2006. Michelle is the operations manager for United Personnel in Springfield and the President of the Young Professional Society of Greater Springfield. She spends a lot of time involved in community and volunteer efforts. Michelle relocated here from Boston after graduating from Regis College in 1999. She was thrilled to find affordable homes, great job opportunities, and a charming city environment without the big-city prices or hassles. What surprised her most about the move was how beautiful the fall months are in the western part of the state.

Michelle is originally from the Midwest, and while she found Boston to be fast paced and difficult to connect with people, she thinks her life in Springfield is perfect and her neighbors are warm and friendly. She loves Springfield’s location – a two-hour drive will get you to the ocean, mountains, New York City, Hartford and back to Boston.

Michelle is a supporter of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, and is impressed by the quality and quantity of arts and cultural events in this mid-sized city. She loves the low cost of living and encourages other eastern Mass-ers to think about relocating here. She shared how safe and comfortable she feels in Springfield, and how nice it is to live in a truly diverse community.
