Meet the Volunteers

Choose Springfield is an all-volunteer endeavor. Meet some of the people who have made this project possible.

Mr. Idea -- Bob McCarroll. Now a retired city planner and a thirty-year resident of the Mattoon Street Historic District, Bob also coordinates the annual Mattoon Arts Festival, serves on the board of the Springfield Preservation Trust, is on the Springfield Historical Commission and is an active member of South Congregational Church. He is a tireless promoter of Springfield as a great place to live.

Ms. Web -- Erica Walch. Erica is a Springfield native who now owns an 1872 Victorian townhouse down the street from Bob and blogs about her renovations at TownhouseTurnaround. She is involved in many civic and volunteer organizations, and serves on several non-profit boards. She coordinates the Second Saturday Walking Tours downtown with the Armoury-Quadrangle Civic Association and the Springfield Museums.

Mr. Logo -- Todd Lemieux. Todd owns a Colonial Revival home in the Forest Park Heights Historic District. He is a nationally-recognized graphic designer who has received a 2003 American Graphic Design Award for logo design and was recently included, with a feature article, in the 2008 Graphic Designers and Artist’s Market Directory. His business is Todd Lemieux Designs.
